If you’re running a business, you probably know how important referrals and reviews are.  They can make the difference between a thriving business and a stagnant one.  So, here are 10 simple ways you can gather referrals and request reviews from your clients or customers:

1. Ask in person: A great way to get referrals is to ask customers in person.  Once you’ve made a sale or completed a project, simply ask if they know anyone who could benefit from your services.

2. Provide exceptional service: Providing exceptional service can lead to happy customers who are willing to refer you to others.  So, do your best to make sure your customers are happy and satisfied – create Raving Fans.

3. Send follow-up emails: After completing a project, send a follow-up email to your customers thanking them for their business and asking if they’d be willing to refer you.
